I'd love a Dead reunion, but I think it might be too big for this festival. Plus, I'm pretty sure the band would announce their own reunion before letting a festival the size of Mtn Jam make the announcement for them.
That being said, I'm very excited for today's artist announcement and can't wait to be back on the mountain in June.

If the black keys can fit on the mountain I have faith that they are waiting to announce a dead reunion to close out the fest sunday. Black keys are scheduled for Saturday, moe on thursday, and I'm assuming mules sets will be friday

From JamBase...
"Rockers The Black Keys will headline Mountain Jam 2015 and are expected to perform on Saturday, June 6. In addition, moe. will make their Mountain Jam debut on Thursday, June 4. Finally, Gov't Mule is aboard for two performances with one of them of the Dark Side Of The Mule variety. Warren Haynes and Co. haven't played a Pink Floyd tribute set since 2008 in Boston and the one at Mountain Jam will take place as a late night performance. There are no additional Dark Side Of The Mule performances expected in 2015 besides late night at Mountain Jam. Two more headline artists and about 40 more bands will be announced next month."
So, I guess MULE is preheadliner Friday and the Late night?
DEAD Sunday... Trey fits in I think Friday night? Somebody that would sit in with MULE?

From the MULE email:
A Festival favorite, Gov't Mule will play its 11th gig at Mountain Jam - the only band to appear every single year - with two performances, including a special late night "Dark Side Of The Mule" set, the band's spectacular Pink Floyd audio and video tribute which hasn't been performed since 2008 and isn't expected to be performed anywhere else in 2015!
Two performances rather than the two sets mentioned by MJ. So, headline one night if they do not book someone else and then late night after Black Keys? That's cool, we can recharge in the RV for the late night set.

I like it. Nothing wrong with a little new blood on the mountain. I saw Black Keys twice and they put on a good show. Their old stuff is really dirty & potent. They are pretty much the London Souls with some mainstream success. The last 2 albums are def not their best but there are some moments. All albums before those 2 are really good in my opinion. Sat night will be perfect for them. Wish they had MMJ play Sat night. Wonder if Mule would play Sunday. I think that would be pretty sweet. But more likely a new headliner like Black Crowes or String Cheese. Also, surprised with moe. I didn't think they would do MJ b/c they do moedown later in the summer. I'm excited for their Thurs set. Only saw them once, about 10 yrs ago in Vermont and it was really fun.
