So excited this year to finally get to mountain jam. Just 30 days away:) thank you to everyone who has posted lists and advice on how to enjoy the experience.
Just a few questions;
Is there somewhere on the mountain that sells ice?
How early should we get there?? It says that gates open at 10am. Should we be there early to get in.. We are doing VIP..

There is ice for sale - usually by the campground entrance. Thursday entrance should be reasonable at just about any time.

Let's just hope they have the smaller bags for sale. I had to schlep a 25lb bag of ice up the mountain to Hunter 3.

Lots of regular bags of ice for sale. I wish I had found the big bags....
Get there as early as you want. If you show up at 10 tho, expect a long ass lineup. I'm sure ViP will go smoothly.

Super stoked to be @ Mountain Jam for the 1st time too! I have a quick ?.. Does anyone know what the cost of cigarettes are in New York? I've heard horror stories of ppl telling me cig's are $10. - $12. a pack (of cigarettes) in NYC.
And, that's e'nuf to call it QUITS for good.
I pay about $6.50 for a pack of American Spirits here in a resort area (Vail, CO).

2 years ago they had an American Spirit tent and store that had coupons where you could buy packs for like $1 each! We stocked up on like 10 packs and were looking forward to getting them again last year but alas,they were not there! What WAS there was a corporate Marlboro tent. Not sure what the deals were but I dont think they were even selling cigs just promoting. Really wish they would bring back American Spirit this year but thinking it will be Marlboro again.  |

Jesus, when NY is more than double Vail prices, that's quite a feat. Then again, I remember the day when it was a couple of dollars a pack. Which was probably when I last bought smokes. |

LOL! When I FIRST bought Smokes they were like .60/pack and gas was about the same per gallon I think!
