So won tickets to mountain jam from q104.3 and this being my first concert ever I want to know what to expect camping wise. And I read something about really strict security on alcohol is that true?

It's on a mountain so you will have to deal with slope if you arrive late Friday. There is security and they do bust kids for underage drinking every year. My advice to anyone that is going to MJ for the first time, just use your head. Don't be blatant about anything you are doing that happens to be illegal. Other than that, It is a heckuva good time.

I have 4 day passes so I'm getting there on Thursday and we are both 21+ we were just wondering how bad they will Hassel us with the searching. and the stealing thing I read about kind of bothers me but it won't stop me from going.

Hi Viking! They won't hassle you in regards to alcohol unless you have a transport load of kegs. You will be just fine! What questions do you want to know? I've created a camp checklist and remember to pack for all aspects of weather. Shorts, Tanks, winter coat, and rain suit. Remember tarps too which saved me lastyear when it rained for two days. If you have alot of stuff, grab a taxi to take you to a location you want. Theres no worries about flat spots. Even though this is a mountain, theres flat places everywhere. The further up the mountain you go, the rowdier it gets... Known as EWOK village. So park your stuff accordingly. WELCOME TO MJ!!!

First CONCERT Mountain Jam? Sweeeeeeeet.
Enjoy it just for what it is. I would not worry about security as I would not do anything that would involve worying about security.
My first concert? Free show two blocks from my house. VIXEN. Google vixen band.
My first real show? Primus and Public Enemy. Pretty good. Not MJ though.

There is a place to charge your phone in the main lodge, you can pay $5 and they will look after it for you, or you can sit by an outlet and do it yourself. This year, I'm bringing an extra battery.
