So is it true Gregg allman broke his hand again and The Allman's last tour is in jeopardy and they may not be playing Mtn Jam? Warren is doing an extra set now? Can anyone confirm?

www.jambands.com/news/2014/04/21/gregg-allman-unable-to-perform-two-australian-shows-due-to-wrist-injury/Gregg Allman will not perform during the next two shows of his Australian tour scheduled for tonight at Sydney’s Enmore Thretre and Melbourne’s The Forum on Wednesday. Allman is still ailing from a wrist injury that forced him to relieve his organ duties to Kofi Burbridge during The Allman Brothers Band’s finale at Wanee Music Festival. All of this follows Allman’s battle with bronchitis in March, forcing the ABB to cancel the remaining four shows of their Beacon Theatre run. The shows will continue each night, however, with extended sets from opening acts Gov’t Mule and Devon Allman. Ticket purchasers will be able to receive a full refund if they choose not to attend the show but these will only be available until midnight day of the performance. For those that choose to attend the show, tickets will be $80 and the difference will be refunded to the purchaser. With any questions regarding ticketing please go to the original place of purchase.

I just saw that. His recovery time would overlap MJ. Broken wrist is tough. If he has to have surgery, Id say the chances of him making MJ would be slim.

If the wrist is still an issue at MJ time, I could see ABB bringing in some extra keyboard help to help out Gregg. Both Kofi - who's filled in for Gregg in the past - and Danny will already be there.

I think they just have Danny Louis play the bulk of the keyboards. Seen it before. Greg plays one hand and sings. Not giving up hope.

Wow this was disappointing news to read. I really hope he makes MJ even if just to sing. Without him, all these substitutions they patch together is less than thrilling to me...

No worries Rinnie! I'm hopeful that he will be there.

So we are possibly thinking no Allmans at all? would there be a replacement?

I absolutely CANT imagine that the Allmans would cancel altogether.... I'd be shocked if this happened. However I can see as time goes by, and Greg Allman heals, he would attend. Of course with a fresh injury he decides not to attend with the band or cancel, but as he feels better, I can definitely see him attending.
Just my opinion.

If he's not there I wouldn't be so psyched for the Allmans.. I'd rather see another night of Mule...
They really need to just pack up the tents... So many people let down this year. It's OK for Greg to retire and chill.. He deserves it...

They won't cancel. He cancelled Australian dates b/c it was his solo act and the injury just came about. With ABB, they have time to prepare for fill ins on keys if they need it. Worst I can see happening is that he sings and doesn't play but I bet he will be fine to play too by then.

Gregg Allman's lawyer mentioned Gregg's health as being "Poor" when talking about the lawsuit being dropped. Saw the article on JamBase.
