I dont care what the lineup is , there is simply NO justification for these absurd jacked up prices,,,,This isnt about music...its greed....Car searches and body frisks in and out of campgrounds,,,whats next ,,rectal probes,,,,,,not only are prices way out of line ...these fools want you to buy at these inflated prices BEFORE a lineup is announced.....lack of security and slashed tents last year...vendors making fun of and laughing at attendees...VIP nonsense....MT JAM ISNT ABOUT THE MUSIC ..ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY...and anyone who is foolish enough to cave in to the greed of promoters and buy tickets at these prices, deserves the lousy concert that it has become......All that and lots of rain too ...

Everyones entitled to their opinion whether its good or bad.

We want to reflect cost hikes specific to Mountain Jam when in fact, the cost of a concert ticket here at MJ is very comparable to other festivals...

As for the big corporate take over, of this festival and people complaining about money money money,

ALL festivals are in need of making money... if they didn't make money, we wouldn't have this festival.

This is my opinion.

I will of course be attending the 10th Annual MJ.

They didn't seek out the presage tickets, they stopped selling them at midnight. I was going to buy the 3 day camping. Now I will wait for the day of and buy just a 1 or 2 day admission, if the price makes sense

They have Bob Wier and Ratdog this year next year they will have a time topping that then see what they what they can charge. Some of the prices are insane but if the body searches and frisking
is as out of control this year as it was last year many are going to call it quits for Mountain Jam. When they get out of control no one comes back it has happened to many before they loose their audience.
If there are security guys grabbing cheap feels or trying to steal anything they think is a drug so they can take or sell it then it's going to be all over. Security destroyed a LCD color screen that I brought
to play video's last year, the blonde crew cutted kid acted like he was a cop and then after the scratch he was like just go in da! I broke it, as disrespectful as he could be no apology, I took video of this guy
last year he was about 25 years old and acted as if he was a cop, he hassled anyone who looked like a hippie, didn't search any woman but loved to search guys, like he was a cop , he wasn't
a volunteer and other security were making the TSA agents look like they were nuns, where can they grab next take a video next year when others are being searched, oo ahh oo no ah ah ah oo !

Other than being patted down and having a bag searched , what is the problem? Happens at every show we go to. And why the hell would you bring a tablet into the venue? No offense, but I have been to plenty of shows and festivals including MJ and I hear about this stuff on the internet but never actually see it when I am at the events. What I do see is people looking for a reason to show their ass. Maybe we just do a really good job of minding our own business. If you dont like what goes on at these things, I have a solution, stay home. Problem solved.

Easy solution, stay home and watch your videos.  Will save you a few hundred bucks and you can take all free showers you want.  Can also guarantee you that nobody will frisk you when you walk from your TV to your indoor bathroom.

Tablets are like camera's and most new cars have forward and reverse running cameras and recording built in, Now a days minding our own business is everyone breaking out their cell phone and taking video when things get out of hand !

Play nice folks - Remember this is AMERICA - anyone can state their opinion. Having said that, I only bring my phone and maybe a small camera inside. Less stuff to worry about and keep track of. If I had a tablet I'd undoubtedly sit on it and squish it with my butt or stomp it to smithereens with my hooves. Low tech to no tech is just easier. I don't even want to know what goes on in the outside world for those 4 days.......

this is my 9th mt.jam. my experience has been that security has been very reasonable. one year they were a bit invasive walking through camp sites, but after many complaints, it was resolved. every year i hear just as many complaints about overzealous security guards as I do not enough security protecting peoples campsites from theft. my suggestion is, be smart. pack to accommodate a search. think about where you put things you don't want found. don't smoke a joint in the car right before the search. be friendly. smile. there is always going to be that one jack ass, and if you get them, don't give them the pleasure by being combative.when you leave your car or tent to go to see music, lock your car or tent and put valuables inside and hidden well. make friends with your neighbors and look out for each other. I hope that you all have a safe trip to the mountain and all goes well for you. peace

After the vibe and the music- the people watching is the best. If there isn't somebody to laugh at or just shake your head at, then you are probably the spectacle. 

It's like if you can't pick out the crazy person on the bus/subway, it's you.
