Thursday
Thursday with PRIMUS was great, Colonel's Hall with POA with Warren playing War Pigs, Karl Denison, Bustle never will be repeated, this was the best Thursday. Everybody delivered and I like the two bands two sets thing. Keep that for next year.
Friday
Spirit Family was better than I thought they would be and Nikki Lane talking about hooking up with strangers in her little short shorts made me smile, JRAD and Cleary- looking forward to next time already, only made it three songs into Grace with her hubby and assorted nonnocternals, Plant was a true headliner, DSOM made me comfortably numb and unable to go any later into the night.
Saturday
We had to leave and come back, long story, missed Booker. Caught some Mat Anderson, he can sing his face off and was super interacting with the audience, dude was singing some dark stuff. We bounced to catch Shakey, should have stayed to the end of Anderson. Missed the Wailers entirely, the daytrippers demotivated us I think. Sunny Side of the Mule fit with the time of day. We blew off Gigantic and Budos for sleep. Wonderful sleep. Thank God they were not as loud as Pretty Lights.
Sunday
We laughed that we were going in for Franti yoga but the line looked CRAZY. I guess they will move it to the outdoor stage next year. Simi Stone kept my attention more than Grace. Campbell and Williams = pros. Lake Street Dive was a maybe but we just kept breaking down camp and that was that. It all flew by even quicker than usual.
Overall, Thursday and Friday beat Saturday and Sunday by a wide margin. It was easier to fill in those gaps when it was 60 bands.
