Mountain Jam 2015 Logistics Questions

Hey all,

We're heading to mountain jam after the schedule for bonnaroo really left me wanting this year.  We've already bought tickets and will be attending, but the limited set times and all that other nonsense has left a bad taste in my mouth.  So we're turning that bad into good by joining everyone up at mountain jam.

The issue for me is this: I can't get there til friday.  Does everyone think camping is fine at that time still? Or should I be looking to score a car camping pass?

I've enjoyed lurking the board here -- tried to sign up but I keep getting an error...when that gets rectified I'd love to join the community.

figured it out! Great. I'm really excited. Do you have any recommendations as far as paying for the car camping and the extra space? We just don't want to have an awful camping spot!

You can get close or as far up the mountain as you wish.... theres lots of people coming in on Friday. I love car camping because of the ease of driving right to my spot. It all depends on what you want to do and how energetic you are on this day.

Here's the thing - If you don't get a $99 car camping pass (which the web site says is now sold out) and you don't get the $85 on site parking - you will park off site somewhere and have to take a shuttle to the entry point - then you have to hump your gear to the tent only spot or wherever you've arranged to be. I can tell you that is never any fun. It is MUCH easier and more convenient to have a car camping pass.

I admit I HATED the car camping idea when they first began it - it just seemed wrong somehow - but I was wrong - it's the way to go for sure.
