This will be our first time out to mtn jam! Just got vip w/car camp tickets. Biggest question is what food is included in that vip ticket? It says hors/snacks, but I don't get if that means they are available all the time and included, or we still have to buy? Trying to plan what food to bring and propane stove, etc.? I know drinks won't be included, but do the vip drink discounts make them reasonable? Thanks and appreciate any other tips anyone has, especially regarding what vip w/ car camping is like. Tom

We have done VIP two of the many years that we have attended Mountain Jam. I think the last time was two years ago. The VIP perks have evolved a little over time and I am not sure if it is exactly the same as when we last did it. It was fun and we enjoyed it although we have not splurged on VIP last year or this coming year. There are tents set up on the side of the hill. Food is served most of the day and you can make a meal out of it. They usually put out a substantial spread at lunch and dinner times. There are nonalcoholic beverages included. There is a beer vending area in VIP which makes the lines shorter. There were no discounts when we did VIP. There was a nice area behind the tents with hammocks in the trees where you can relax. The VIP bathrooms are nice, shorter line but I prefer the indoor plumbing at the lodge and that is open to everyone. There is an area where you can get in front of the MainStage but that will crowd up for very popular acts, so if you must be on the rail, get in there at the end of the previous band's set. Chairs on the hill that adjust to the incline are the best, it will save your back. REI has them, I'm sure other stores also carry them. www.rei.com/product/767162/gci-outdoor-everywhere-chair

Hi T$ Last year when I went VIP there were 3 VIP Tents on the right side of the hill if your looking at the stage. They had tables, chairs and couches to use throughout the day. Lunch and dinner were served on small plates with no limit to how many times you could up and grab food. You could make a meal out of them. Snacks throughout the day as well. There were discounts on the beer in the VIP area. As said before the hammocks and bathrooms are a bonus as well. Didn't use the VIP viewing in front of the stage but seemed cool. Hope you enjoy your experience with us on the Mountain.
