Let not forget about the price to put a piece of ham, bacon or sausage on a Hunter Mountain Cafeteria breakfast sandwich, the price of adding a piece of sausage is like buying a second egg and cheese sandwich.

When I was walking up on the hill last year on the rocky and grassy part some nature folk called off to me up by the frisbee golf area we were walking up to the Mountain Jam sign and back and they said that bird is flying around you is scared and chirping your near it's nest don't step on the nest it's camouflaged, so I started walking on the grass but then when I was speaking to someone down at the concert about it they said they had on by their camping ground in the parking lot and they had marked off the nest and put up some simple ropes so no one would step on it. I guess just anywhere on the mountain, if anyone else has anymore info chime in ! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killdeer#Nesting . - per wikipedia Killdeer Nesting They live in grassland habitats such as fields, meadows, and pastures.[13] The nest itself is merely a shallow depression or bowl in the ground, fringed by some stones and blades of grass.[14] The nest is well camouflaged, as the spots of the eggs disguise them as stones, and the simple structure of the nest resembles its surroundings.[15] Like many other waders, Killdeer hatchlings are precocial birds and are able to see and forage soon after hatching. Remember to inform and educate fellow Mountain Jammers about the bird the Killdeer and it's nest on the ground at Hunter Mountain, if you see a nest let everyone know and mark if off so no one steps on it. If I see a nest in the camping area I will put a little cardboard sign staked in the ground near it with a arrow pointing to it and make sure no one steps on it or thinks it's a garbage pile by marking it like that !

Cutting out shortly for MJ , All please inform everyone at Mountain Jam when setting up a tent, hiking or disk golf if you hear a bird chirping you could be near a killdeer nest, look down and look where your walking the eggs are spotted and the nest and the eggs are on the ground camouflaged, note the sound in the videos above and the killdeer will act as if its wing is broken to try to lure your away \from the nest, Be aware when your hiking, disk golfing and setting up your tent Please Look Down for nest and eggs and warn others
