I would have asked, "What happened to the Native American blessing?"

Being a NY native and knowing the importance and connection of the Iroquois in the setting we love, it was such a great thing. It has ALWAYS been the easiest way for me to explain the famous MJ vibe. Connecting with the five spirits: north, south, east, west, and within.

If you are still listening to the hardcore MJ faithful on the message board... it would be fine to switch the person that gives it... but don't leave it out.

Easily top 5 MJ experiences... Blessing into Gandalf Murphy into nap.

We loved the Blessing the first time we went(Mtn Jam 8) but couldn't find it the next two years? While reading the Q&A I was also looking for the answer to that question. Not going this Year but let me know if they have it cause we will still be looking at going to #12 next Year.

I vaguely remember the blessing happening two years ago on Thursday in the rain on stage with music. I seriously could be wrong and it be a strong dream I had on the mountain.

Keeping it is cool, thanks for hearing us.

In the past morning Friday with the sunrise (noonrise... better than moonshine, damn sure better than rain) Shake off the demons Thursday... but...

Before MOE. Do it up with respect and not a stage thing...

If it hits with the setting sun on the mountain... with Levon winking over Rip Van Winkle... it could be perfect.

The first Year we went, MJ8 the Blessing was on Friday morning before ANY bands played. It was on the small stage. This was when Thursday was NOT included in the 3 day ticket so they did it on Friday. But the next 2 years we never saw/heard where it was or IF they even had it?

dissatisfied: The ADA parking off the premises this year was horrendous. There was a long line to get into parking plus traveling a long distance, we reside at Hunter Heights, the school bus shuttle was not handicapped accessible. Paying for ADA parking is mercenary. Jun 23, 2017 20:48:04 GMT -5
