I don't understand how peach is so cheap with that lineup. It makes no sense! I also don't get the complaining about mtn jam, we're devastated we are not going as the lineup is awesome!

Camping at Peach is another $35. So, really you are looking at $170 vs $225. Keep in mind that Peach has a pavilion thing with seats. For headliners you have to upgrade to reserved or VIP to get into the pavilion or up close. MJ you can wander down front. Peach is still newer and likely still trying to normalize costs as the crowd size levels. Once they figure that out I am sure they book bands according to a budget that allots a percentage of the money. I am also sure that that last round of smaller acts will be aligned with current sales, reaction, and will even the lineup out some. In addition, there is someone out there that loves every band booked for MJ and someone that has been to all the Peachfests that is mad.
If Gary ever does the QandA again asking what the biggest costs are and how much is allotted for bands would be good questions. I have to imagine being in NY, insurance and site logistics are things that make MJ more expensive to put on.
