I think I found our answer... Phish The Phish Rider is more of an attempt to educate security about their fans so they don’t get too heavy-handed with the Phish followers. “Our fans are a peaceful, intelligent group who respond to courteous requests rather than aggressive bullying." The band also addresses those pesky security pat downs. They band doesn’t like them… at all. “The pat down should be limited to visual and very light pat down checks. It’s a 'pat-down,' NOT a search for illegal substances. There is a difference.” Phish The Phish Rider is more of an attempt to educate security about their fans so they don’t get too heavy-handed with the Phish followers. “Our fans are a peaceful, intelligent group who respond to courteous requests rather than aggressive bullying.” The band also addresses those pesky security pat downs. Phish is way too big for mountain jam... I'd rather they not be a part of it and I'm a HUGE fan..

I should add to my previous post that I saw zero security issues/incidents while at Lockn. No fights, no hassles, no one getting arrested, no campground sweeps, etc. Hell, I barely even saw any need for medical attention for anyone too drunk or OD'ish.
It was 30,000 people and a very peaceful weekend.

Loved the Panic set at MJ, however, it has been my experience that I don't get along with all of their fans. Same can really be said for PhishPhans. Just me though.
MJ's MO has been book a guy from the bigger band. Wondering if Trey has the same rider...

Sounds like Phases of the Moon had a lot of first year problems - traffic, security, mud - common to festivals. Though "guy freaking out on stage during Panic" isn't that common a festival complaint/
I'm with you on Panic fans. I love the band and find a lot of their fans to be great. But there's a subset of asshole bros (or as I like to call it "Southern frat boys gone to seed") that can make seeing Panic a pain in the ass. I've stopped going to the Red Rocks shows because it's just not a fun experience to deal with all the drunk/drugged a-hole behavior.

I guess the closest we will come to perfect will be have Lucinda and the Black Crowes play Big Bear's backyard in the foothills of the Catskills to a crowd consisting of the MJMB.
