After bagging the first 5 Thursday we managed to see the majority of 20 of the 40 bands
ABB- Our plan was to take off during the second album drum solo and they switched the order! They were ripping through those songs. I am happy with this set being the last time I see them, did not disappoint. My greatest concern is seeing Greg hitting the oxygen tank in order to belt out "Good lord I feel like I'm dying!"
MULE- Best I've seen in years. Reaffirmed faith after last year and last year was so disappointing this was the first MULE show for me since then. Warren on the bullhorn is funny.
ANDERS- This was the announcement that started to make us think we would return. Great. He was great last time. Great in Baltimore when I saw him with Dumpstafunk/John K/Bonerama. Carl is the shits. Add in Marco... Still singing Ya Ya.
TTB- Derek is still God. That huge band is so meticulous. It seems like he is laying back but he is listening to every piece and picking his spots. I would still love to see another DTB show with Smalley and the Count.
CRB- Was that Robinson giving Warren a bro hug? Start the Black Crowe rumors!!! Didn't disappoint.
Blitzen Trapper- Second time proved the first time was not a fluke for me
Antibalas- They get my Gandalf Murphy award this year. They were not on our priority list but glad we caught them. If not for our age and wanting to see Jackie the next night we would have caught the late night set too.
Jackie- Jackie was Jackie. I would have rather had him play outside. Many people seemed to wander in and out of the crowd looking for a bathroom or trying to figure out why Pretty Lights was playing guitar. There was a tall girl that decided to step in front of me and stop to stand so close that my nose was in the hood of her jacket, and then she wandered away. Looked forward to it, the hall and crowd lowered my enjoyment
Reignwolf- Looking forward to catching him at some point solo
UM- Umph is Umphs to me. I remember the first time I saw them and they were all jumping around. Now that they stand still and shred it is also a show, especially late on the mountain with the light show
DSO- Just saw them in Baltimore, also original set list, liked that one better. How do you finish early like that?
FRANTI- Miss the anti war revolutionary Franti. Much better than the soccer moms and kiddies trying to take selfies only to get their iphones bopped by the beach balls
WEIR- We made it through the first set and most of the second. We usually would not do that.
Tweedy- A bit disappointed. Kind of slow.
Sean Rowe- Good voice. Springsteen cover!
Sister Sparrow- Second time, not a fan, rather see Grace
Lennon- Getting a spot for Franti so heard the whole thing. Not a fan
Avetts- Jetro, I gave it a try again for two songs, you owe me a hoho or ringding
Pretty Lights- Flippin PL kept me up to like 4:30
