Where can we hang out and party before going in?

Hey All! Me and my friends are heading to the jam on sat. and were wondering where to hang out and party. We're staying in a hotel off site and this is our first time going so not sure what the scene is like. Once we take the shuttle is there a place (parking lot?) to have some drinks before heading in?  We want to bring a disposable cooler and cut down on overpaying for alcohol inside. Thanks for any info. you can .

There are indeed parking lots, but I don't think the powers that be will take too kindly to people loitering and drinking there. Also, I'm not sure if you'd even be allowed to bring a cooler on the shuttle bus. Why not just have a few drinks at your hotel before getting on the shuttle?
