Is it ok to turn on our truck to use a power inverter for a short while periodically if we're willing to shre with our neighbors ? (This is obviously a question from the husband lol) but thanks if anyone knows?

Noise is the issue, if it is a non mechanical one no worries. Even if it makes noise and you get told no generators, it is an inverter (trying to not sound like a smart ass which I could never pull off). Better to beg forgiveness than ask permission. As I said, RV land had a no generator rule sun down to sun up and it was not enforced for our neighbors. The hit and miss nature of security is another factor. If you own it bring it. I wouldn't go out and drop hundreds on one just for this.

Hopefully your truck is quiet, and the tailpipe doesn't blow out nasty fumes your neighbors may not be happy.....

Thanks all, its definitely not a generator, doesn't make noise and wouldn't be running it but a time or two during the day. Will also consult neighbors. While it is a truck, its a new truck, not too loud and although its not an electric vehicle I dont imagine any more crazy fumes come out of it than any other new vehicle. Thanks ill tell the hubs
