Hey guys. Have you had trouble in the past with ticks? Should I be putting bug repellent on my shopping list? Any tips or advice would be welcomed

Staying in the normal areas... no bug problems.
Walking into the woods, short cuts, or through high grass you can expect ticks, poison ivy/sumac, bears, and bird nests on the ground.

Rinnies you may want to cover your butt by getting a can of tick spray that contains permethrin to treat your sox and pant cuffs. heres an example but you can find it cheaper on the internet. I was at a Dicks sporting good store yesterday and they had a aerosol can of this stuff for $8.99. I did mine as a precaution and I'm bringing non aerosol bug spray as a mosquito precaution. www.rei.com/product/768970/sawyer-permethrin-pump-spray-24-ozcya on the mountain

Bugs haven't been that bad.. There have been some tics reported around the area.. Follow the above advice or stay out of the woods.. Deer paths especially have tics.. Check yourself everyday..

I would be suspicious of anyone wanting to do a "daily tick check." I may steal that line from you. Where's the little devil emoticon?

Just be sure you are not slurring your speech at all when you try to say "tick check."

Bugs have never been a issue, neither ground or air bugs have been a problem in the past, there has been some poison ivy spots, I know below the car camping in the pic below on the right hand side of the road on the far right side of the map there was poison ivy growing up the trees and a big patch someone put a hammock in it one time I told them what it was some people don't know what it is. Look for oily leaves that are green with a tinge of red and stay away or you will break our itching and covered with bumps popping out the oil that touches your skin. Some People don't know what it is they should put up signs where they have large patches where people are expected to camp near it. Just google poison ivy rash under google images and you will see what skin looks like when it has the poison ivy rash it can cover your entire body and your eye lids as well ! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxicodendron
