I am so excited! I work at the Beacon Theatre and since our summers are dead I try to hit as many festivals as possible. This however is my first Mountain Jam. Needless to say I am PSYCHED!!!!!!!!!
This message board has been super helpful planning for the festivities. I am doing the general tent camping. Any advice on the best area to set up camp? We are coming in around 1pm on Thursday, I imagine it wont be to crowded by then but am I mistaken?
Thanks for the good vibes and help yall.
Cheers!!!

If you are "healthy" enough, or just want the view, I always aim for the top of the mountain. Best advice is to really just look for a flat-ish piece of land where there aren't a lot of rocks lol...Honestly the last lot away from the stage is good just cuz its the Bunny Hill for Skiing so it has the softest slope out of all of them and you still get an amazing view from wherever...If you get there early enough hike to the top of camping and try and scope out a spot near the watering hole if you wanna make friends since its a great spot and a high traffic area over the weekend

And we prefer the bottom of the hill. But what I suggest is go in and with someone keeping an eye on your stuff, take off up the mountain and check out where you wish to set up. That way you aren't lugging around all over the place.

This is super helpful gang!
Thanks, I am looking forward to it. About how far up would you say the waterfalls are?
Do you guys think if we get there around 1pm on Thursday that we should have a decent selection. We have a pretty big tent that we like to surround in glow sticks so if you think you see us feel free to stop buy for a beer snack or whatever else we may have!
Thanks again.

Yeah I meant the waterfall there's a little spot to jump in but I was told multiple times that we can't lol I camped there in 2011 with about 35 people and its a great spot to meet a lot of people while still getting a beautiful view and once the music stops around 5ish you can hear the waterfall as you lay in your tent...prettayy prettay gooodd
