Water: Free water will be available at the entrance to the main festival grounds from the campgrounds. You can bring an empty water bottle, empty camelback or one sealed water bottle with you to be refilled throughout the weekend.
Water inside the festival grounds is available for $2 per refill for water bottles or camelbacks. Enjoy free water refills all day long when you purchase the official Mountain Jam water bottle, available at the merchandise booth.
Just an FYI. Last year I bought a water bottle I think it was $15-20 for a Nalgene. Hoping they didn't change the logo!

We can get into car camping on Thursday at 10. I've heard to get there early to get a better spot. I'm planning on arriving around noon. Is that too late?

You should be fine if you're getting there Thursday. I'd imagine most people won't be there on Thursday...last year, i'd say maybe half full before the music started on Thursday. I'd expect this year to be less.

Someone mentioned that with the car camping they start people further up the hill farther away from the stage and that you don't get to choose your spot. so coming early can be a disadvantage. Does anyone know if that's true? Maybe they change how they do that.

that is true, they definitely start at the back and work in toward the entrance/exit.

Does anyone know if that's true? Maybe they change how they do that. There is enough space for you to leave early if you need though so its not as bad as it seems. I actually prefer being higher up on the Mountain so we will be getting there Thursday. While it is slightly further away, the higher up you get, the more privacy you have. I usually travel with a group between 8 and 12 people so we like to hike up and find a space that we won't be bothering other people and people won't be walking through our site to get somewhere.

Also, the closer to the stages, the steeper the incline. The furthest hill from the stage is the Bunny Hill in the Winter I think so the slope is not as intense to camp on, but the first hill has flat spots on the way up.

How is general parking in the Hunter Airport lots? Is it a nightmare to get in and out of? Any experiences?

How is general parking in the Hunter Airport lots? Is it a nightmare to get in and out of? Any experiences? I believe it is the same spot as last year. I lucked out with street parking for 2 days. The last day I parked up there. It takes a bit of time to get to. Because it is past the mountain and up a long road. The ground was a muddy mess from rain. The shuttle was fine. But then they canceled the concert due to a tornado warning, they wouldn't let ppl on the shuttle busses. So now you have 10s of thousands of people who are all stuck. So called a taxi (smilys if something like this happens again) and crammed as many ppl as we could. It was hairy getting the minivan up there, but he made it. People do rent out parking on their lawns. $15-20 for the day. I personally would see if you can work a deal like $40-50 for the whole weekend and then you can walk in. The walks isn't bad. Or maybe you will luck out with street parking!
