Jead: I'm pretty disappointed and to be honest kind of down on what has occurred since Townsquare has been involved. They say all good things must pass but it feels like MJ is being actively pushed into oblivion. I'm out unless something drastically changes. :'

Clearwater Festival is even older. Hell, almost the entire lineup is over 60. I'm crossing my fingers for My Morning Jacket to be our last headliner, with an extra dose of Mule (2 sets on 2 different days please), and some combination of Phil and Friends, Bobby and the Campfire Band, and Tedeschi Trucks. With moe. doing moe.down again they've gotta be out, and that fest is definitely going to be pulling from the same "jam" bands that Mtn Jam used to. So I think that they're going all in on the folk rock, indie rock, and occasional jam band. Enough to make me happy but not to jammy so my wife sleeps her way through 3 or 4 days.

Clearwater fest still has soul..
MountainJam is all about DadRock and money and creating a dress rehearsal for the Taste Of Country weekend..

No one seems to know if Warren is there or not yet. I'm thinking he will be there but who knows. What is baffling to me is the inactivity on the fbook page and why is it taking them so long to announce the rest of the lineup? I mean they only announced like 12 bands and people are freaking out about how bad the lineup is. You would think that they would want to get the other 17 bands are so out there so people can maybe settle down. It's weird. There still should be another headliner and a couple late nighters. And what are they doing Thiurs night? Pre-party? A headliner playing? Lots of questions that almost seems like they aren't sure of the answers yet. Is Mule there? People are going crazy asking for Mule which isn't a surprise since it is Mountain Jam. Maybe the hold up is that they are going to make sure they get Mule back after originally failing to do so because they realize what a terrible mistake it they made. Either way, I am def interested to see what happens. Just hope they hurry up!

I can also just hold out for one of the local fests that I don't have to camp for to announce their line-ups. Either way. Football is over and baseball hasn't started. This is the first festival I've seen announce a partial line up. My woman and I are pretty excited to go this year but are puzzled by the silence from the promoters. They can't believe they're enticing ticket sales with the delay... |

Im taking a leap away from firefly and coming to MJ this year. This will be my first time. Im looking forward to seeing who else will entertain us for the weekend!

They usually announce the full lineup much earlier than this but they did announce the initial lineup a little earlier than normal. It is def weird. They haven't posted hardly anything within the past month.

You also have the Mountain Jam coming up in the summer next year. I’m not sure if I’m gonna be part of Mountain Jam this year. I think I have schedule conflicts for that. |
