did anyone notice they slipped in another band called Diesel America? i totally missed that. I wonder if they are the local Thursday kick off band. A quick GOOGLE provides: Diesel America has taken the NYC local music scene by storm. In less than a year they have developed a signature sound, stage presence, and following that usually takes most bands years to develop. This momentum caught the attention of NYC metal royalty Joey Z (Life of Agony/Stereomud/Carnivore) and their debut album "Leave Your Mark" was born. The band takes their fans on a journey through the evolution of rock music. Songs like "Leave Your Mark" and "Symptom" drive hard hitting riffs satisfying your need for metal. The punk pop inspired "First Day" and grove of "Backbone" give audiences the perfect tunes to let go and sing along. The song structure of the rock anthem "Needle Wicked" and dirty blues inspired "Do What I Want To" and "River Through" make you realize you are listening to some serious musicians. Through this diversity of influence, Diesel America has created a style all their own. Diesel America is the kind of band that in a few short years from now, fans will be arguing about who knew them first before they became a national hard rock powerhouse. This NYC original is not to be missed. And posted four years ago: SEEKING Vocalist - General. ABOUT Our band recently lost its vocalist to a job move and we're looking for a new frontman. We're located in Manhattan and have an excellent rehearsal studio in midtown. We occasionally play a cover tune but we're 99% all original hard rock in the range of classic metal to punk. You'll find more rough new tracks on our page than polished old ones with a different sound because our style has been in flux. I've been told we sound like Kyuss (check them out) and generally agree. Influences include Motorhead, Sabbath, Maiden, AC-DC, Alice in Chains, Doors, Ramones, just to name a few. We write collaboratively, welcoming the creative input of all band members, and we're open to new influences should you bring these to the table. We get together roughly twice a week to write and prepare for gigs. We also have a solid network for getting good shows at some of the better venues in the city. In many ways we're regular guys, level-headed, with day jobs but a passion for music, looking for someone down to earth to fill out the band musically and otherwise. It's as much about having a good time as performing. That said, we'd like to take things to the next level. We're looking for high energy and comfort on stage from a vocalist. Previous band experience is a plus but is not essential. Whatever the case we'd encourage you to give an audition a try. Contact us at DieselAmerica@ to set something up or directly on BandMix. Because our posted music is rough and not a great representation of our quality the best thing to do is come in, have a beer with us and give a live listen, maybe try some things out. You're definitely going to get a much better sense of our energy and music this way. Give us a shout if this sounds of interest to you. Again: DieselAmerica@ or write to us directly on BandMix

Has anyone ever heard of Joseph Arthur? I'm still grooving to the album Nuclear Daydream, but have never seen him in concert.
Love the beat.
