Hello! This will be my first Mountain Jam. Is anyone coming from NYC? I asked support, but they are unsure if the bus from NYC will be available this year. Hopefully I'll get the chance to meet some of you in June.
Thanks in advance for any responses.

I bet you'll find a ride as the days get closer... And there have been busses in the past - they'd be stupid to not run them...
You can also get a bus up to Hunter from Port Authority.. Or take AMTRAK to Hudson - then maybe a taxi or hitch a ride...

Check the "Antone driving up from NYC Friday morning? " thread.
Soulmate, we may want to make sticky at the top of the board.
LOL. 43 days. Let's get moving here. Keep building that karma and one day... Lucinda.
Anybody personally done the NYC to MJ trek???

It sure would be nice if my typo could be corrected from antone driving to anyone driving. Yes, there's a trailways bus from port authority to hunter, though I'm still considering renting a car...now also trying to figure out where to stay.

I'm also a first time mountain jammer, every other year I've had another commitment. I'm so excited to go but I'm coming up Friday after work from NYC- is anyone else in that boat ?

So I am going. There is something called Rock and Bus and they need 21 people to confirm the trip. I'm considering but they leave at 10pm which they say is 45 min after the show but it's nowhere near...last year I had to leave "mid-Phil" and I did not like that and don't want that with the Allman's this time. That said I need to work out transportation as well so I'm game for "team work".- Jill Email phlowerangelphoto@gmail.com also

Since Rock and Bus requires at least an additional 21 people to confirm the trip, it might be a good idea to have a Plan B. The closest town to Hunter Mountain is Phoenicia which is serviced by buses from NYC. It's a 15 min taxi ride to Hunter Mountain. trailwaysny.com/index.php/bus-from-phoenicia-to-new-york-city/Getting back to NYC on Sunday doesn't have the best schedule though.
