Adding 10 More Bands

So in about a month or so, MJ will be adding 10 more bands or so.  Put down 10 bands that you would like to see.  Try to be slightly realistic.  Don't put 10 headliners down.  Here are mine:

1. Allman Bros (I will be really surprised if they aren't the last headliner and I'm pumped to see them.  I don't want D.Betts either like some have suggested.  Derek & Warren will do fine)

2. Robert Randolph & Family Band (loved it when RR came back w/ the Word, but the Family Band is when he is at his best.  Live music doesn't get much better.  He was in the first one so he should be at the 10th one)

3. Dr. Dog (One of my favorite bands going right now and are pretty underrated if you ask me.  I haven't seen them yet either so this would make me pretty happy. Not sure what kind of a draw they would be on the mountain, but they wouldn't disappoint)

4. John Butler Trio or Xavier Rudd (I would take either of these Aussie's.  Both are phenomenal live and would be perfect for MJ X.  X.Rudd played the first one so I guess he has a shot)

5. Felice Bros (They are from the Catskills, so I would think they would be there every year.  They are a blast live too.  Simone has been there more recently, not sure why the Bros haven't. Maybe there's some bad blood there, not sure. Can't go wrong here)

6. Marco Benevento (He should be at every Mtn Jam)

7. Zach Deputy (Same as #6. He should be automatically penciled in.  I met him before one of his shows once and asked him why he didn't play last year and he said they offered him less money than the year before he played.  He did say he would come back though if the offer was a little better)

8. J Roddy Walston & the Business (These guys bring crazy energy and would blow minds as well)

9. Bright Light Social Hour (Phenomenal live band. Could be late night as well)

10. Murder By Death (Sounds like a death metal band, but far from it.  Saw them once as an opener and would love to see them again)

10(tie) Langhorne Slim (Have been listening to him a lot lately.  He puts everything into his live shows)

Delta Spirit (could easily be in my top 10 list. Fun live band. Lead singer is nuts)
Trombone Shorty (FUNK)
Larry & His Flask (punk-grass)
Revivalists (still pissed about missing them twice last year)
Black Joe Lewis (more FUNK)
STS9 (would be a great late night add)

Seasick Steve(would be an amazing addition to the mountain and would fit right in)

I agree with so many of the above picks so I'll leave out my picks that overlap. Though i definitely think Xavier Rudd should be there. Phenomenal performer.

The white buffalo- unbelievable talent and voice and seems like a perfect fit. Saw him a few years back at bonaroo as the last billed act and it was my favorite performance of the weekend.

Chadwick stokes- was there last year with dispatch. Solo album is awesome and has a new one coming out soon. Another great fit.

Last one is cause they are all there already: weir,Robinson, and Greene acoustic. I know they played some fests together last year and i would have loved to catch it but didn't. Since all 3 are on the mtn already, why not make it happen?

Would also not be surprised to see Sharon Jones & Dap Kings, Dawes or Lotus. You know they are prob gonna pick one more big light night band. All they have so far is Pretty Lights, J.Greene, Antibalas & Antique Beats. So there is room for 2 more. X.Rudd would be cool late night. Z.Deputy used to always be Thursday late. Or will it be another electronic act like Bassnectar, Girl Talk or Disco Biscuits? Should be interesting.

Didn't even think of Weir,Robinson & Greene, but that would be a sweet surprise. I could see Bobby doing a few guest spots throughout the weekend with different bands like Warren does.

Don't get me wrong, I love Gary Clark Jr. Dude is amazing. But, seeing him 2 years in a row, with similar sets makes it okay if he sits this one out. If he brought new material and changed up a little bit would be cool but I like checking out bands or acts that I haven't seen before. Gary is still the man, but i think bringing him back in a year or two would be better.

Would love to see Portugal the man again. Saw them in 2011 and didn't know much about them but really enjoyed 'em. Have been a big fan since. Wondering what other indie bands(if any) they will bring. Blitzen Trapper is really the only one right now. They always bring a psychedelic type indie band like Portugal, White Denim, Morning Teleportation, etc.... I would be blown away if they brought in someone like Tame Impala. Those guys kick ass! Would be a big hit.

I don't think Les is playing with Beats Antique. It didn't say nothing about Les. They play without him all the time. Maybe it could be a surprise or something but unless I missed something, they didn't advertise it.
