I'm in agreement. Reignwolf will be this year's SIMO.
I do not plan on missing Anders or Jackie.

I wanna see Reignwolf bad too. But also excited about seeing Blitzen Trapper. It kinda sucks that they play at 12:45 on Sat though and the MJCZ BBQ is at 11:30. Def wanna catch them. The Weeks & Valerie June should be good too but it might be tough to catch them. The MJ organizers did a good job of making sure there aren't hardly any overlapping acts this year except for latenight. Sucks that Jackie Greene & Pretty Lights are both on same night. I want to see both. Pretty Lights for the party & Jackie for the feeling.

Pretty sure Reignwolf will be a 3 piece band at Mountain Jam. I'm not blown away by his songs but he just seems like he will be really cool to see live. Looks like one of a kind.

He'll most likely play by himself and as a band. I'd definitely categorize it as something you need to see live - even clips of his live performance don't do justice to the sounds he makes.

Sparkdog.. i found that so many bands are that way for me. The first time I heard Lucinda I was like "wtf!!!" of course everyone knows my love for her runs deep now...
MMJ- again... wtf!!! love them too... and so on, and so on..

All I really have seen of RW are some clips. It's kind of like seeing athletes and getting a feeling that they have a potential. Sometimes you are right and sometimes not. Blitzen Trapper, I was thinking "Great another we're alt country because have a banjo band" but when they opened for DBT they rocked. Had the spot on impression of Gandalf Murphy from clips and their MJ set was an all-time favorite of mine.
The one man band thing is my thing. Was a huge Hasil Adkins fan going way back. Stripped down three piece I'm thinking Hendrix, SIMO, MULE.

I'm also looking forward to heard GOAST with Sean Lennon. Their new album is some excellent modern day psychedelia.
